Fiesta!

Seis de Mayo~ Every year the students at Buena Vista perform in a special event called Fiesta Cultural.  (Josh and his sister, Amy, did it when they went to BV!)  This was Ronan's first experience, and I think he loved every minute of it!  They kids all did such an amazing job!  I was so impressed with the costumes and creativity--you could tell that a lot of time went into preparing for it.

Ronan's 1st fiesta and Tyler's last--what a special thing to experience with his cousins!
I got a couple pictures of the kids waiting to perform.

Alayna, Vanessa, Ian, Gabriella, & Ronan
Allie & Sadie
The decorations were great!

I helped make Ronan's class' paper people (:
They performed one song in English and one in Spanish.  They sounded so good and looked so cute swaying & doing the hand motions--definitely a tear-jerker for mama (& daddy). (: (I'll post the videos later)

At the end, each class danced their way out of the gym (:
We stayed after for ice cream and the raffle drawing--and we ended up being big winners!  We won the "Family Day on the Town" raffle basket full of gift cards for all kinds of fun places in Eugene (Build-a-Bear, Regal Cinemas, Potter's Quarter, Jerry's, Jamba Juice...and more!).  What an awesome first Fiesta experience. (:
At home I got one quick picture with our star.

Happy Birthday, Cedar!

May 1st~ Cedar had a Candy Land party for his 2nd Birthday!  Katrina did a great job of decorating!  It was such a cute theme and a fun party!  A beautiful day for a backyard birthday celebration.

Cousins

April 30th~ My cousin Christy and her family stayed in Eugene for a night during their move from northern Washington to Las Vegas!  We all gathered for a quick visit & cinnamon rolls at Memaw and Papa's house. (:  It was so good to see them!  The last time we saw Christy was eight years ago (I think) when we were all together for Opa's memorial service.  Her youngest was a baby then, and Tyler was the only kid in our family at the time---so, Christy got to meet Sadie, Ronan, Cohen, Finn, Griffin, Cedar, and Tate!
Tyler bonded with Isiah and Cody over video games (:
Check out this room full of boys!
Sadie & Karli played Littlest Pet Shop together (:
 Second cousins!

MOG craft day

April 26th ~ Becca led our Moms of Grace group in a super fun craft: scrabble tile pendants!  She did a great job and everyone really enjoyed doing it, even those who claim to not be crafty. (:
Here are some of the examples she brought:
The supplies:
A few quick instructions and everyone was hard at work:
So many different styles & designs--they all turned out great!
This was Tate's first time staying in the nursery for the whole two hours!  Miss Nancy is just so good with babies!  She kept him happy & gave him a nap...and I was able to make my necklaces and also start on the skirts I was making for Ronan's upcoming fiesta. (:
 Josephine checking out Tate (:
Emma was not far behind. She loves her cousin, " baby Date" (;
