Camping cont'd

Tate woke up happy even after a rough night of sleep.  He was starting to get sick, so he was awake every few hours. ):

Since our family was up early we decided to go for a long walk.  It was sunny and calm on the beach--so pretty!

We found this sand castle on our walk.  The boys thought it was so awesome!
Mama & Tate
After lunch the whole family went to the beach and we spent the day playing in the sand, flying kites, and doing a treasure hunt.
Audrey & Lydia love helping with baby Tate (:
Grammie & Emma
We were very thankful for our wind tents because it got SO windy and cold as the day went on.
(Josh's parents bought one for each of our families a few years ago and they have come in very handy on several occasions!)
Josh stayed warm digging in the sand & "burying" the kids (:
Audrey & Macey posing with Ronan who was buried up to his neck!
Ethan & Griffin
Grammie & Grandpa Lermo came over for the day to join us on the beach and at the campfire. (Grammie didn't want to leave without eating s'mores) (:
Tate sure likes Great Grandpa (:
It was nice having a dry, sand-free place for Tate to play in!
Grandpa and the Creager kids put together a treasure hunt for the rest of the cousins.  It was awesome!  They made up video clues and hid things around the beach.  The kids worked in teams and everyone had a lot of fun with it!
Searching for treasure...
Griffin found one of the clues!
Ronan & Ethan found their next clue, too.
Josh got our kite going and some of the kids got to try it out.  (Lydia and Griffin especially liked the kite.)

The wind was SO strong that Amy literally had to hold onto Griffin so he wouldn't get taken away (:

Coast Camping

On August 18-20 we went camping with Josh's side of the family at Tillicum Beach on the Oregon Coast. We arrived in the afternoon to beautiful weather--sunny & not windy!
Ronan, Griffin, Josh, and I braved the cold water (with wet suits on) and did some boogie boarding.  It was a lot of fun and I'm glad we did it then, because the weather the next day was much colder.

We finished setting up camp and made dinner.  Emma helped keep Tate entertained (:
Griffin, too. (:
Josh took on most of the cooking for our family during the weekend.
We had our own campsite and the Greens shared a site with Josh's parents who had been camping all week in their trailer with the Creager kids.
Hungry boys!
Sooo happy to be camping!
Go Beavs!
Emma took the next two pictures of Tate (;
Ronan & Dylan
After dinner everyone went back down to the beach to watch the sunset...
R&G

We finished off the first night with s'mores and hanging out by the campfire.

Tate- 9 months!

Tate turned nine months old on August 12th, and he started to crawl right around that time!
He is still such a little guy. (:  At his check-up he weighed only 17#3oz (8th %ile) and was 29"long (65th %ile)

He looks around for Ronan and Griffin when I bring him out of his room in the morning, and gets SO excited when he sees them!  It has been so fun watching Tate interact more & become a little playmate for his big brothers (:
Looking for Griffin in the firetruck:
Tate likes all kinds of food, especially big boy food that he can pick up & feed to himself. (:
One day he noticed the stairs...
...but only got this far.
He wasn't quite sure what to do with the stairs yet. (;
Here is Tate's newest trick:
How big is Tate? "So Big!"
He got his 2nd tooth...along with a runny nose ):
I knew it would happen any day, but I was hoping he would hold off a little while longer.  Tate figured out how to climb the stairs:
I know when he's doing it because he starts crawling really fast & giggling as if to say, "Look at me, Mom!" This boy is officially on the move! (:
