Venezuela Project

March 8th was a big school day for Ronan!  His assignment (a few weeks before) was to do a research project on a Latin American country (write facts about the country), make a mobile showing some interesting things about the country, and then do a presentation in front of the class (in Spanish)!  He chose to do his project on Venezuela, because Josh had traveled there before, and we all worked together to do the research and translate it into Spanish.  (Thank goodness for Google Translate) (:
So on the day of his presentation, we had quite a group gathered to watch.  Memaw & Papa (with Finn, Cedar, & Cohen), Grammie, and Josh & me with Griffin & Tate.
Waiting in the hall for Ronan's turn...
Ronan introduced each of us to his class, then started on his presentation.  I was so proud of my boy!!  He did a great job.  He spoke clearly and confidently, and hardly seemed nervous (even though I know he was).
Describing his mobile...
Answering questions from his classmates...
Afterward, he was SO happy to be done with it!!  You could tell it had been burdening him...poor guy!  He had requested to be one of the last presenters, and then later on he told me that next time he wanted to go first so he wouldn't have to be nervous waiting for his turn. (:  (I can totally relate!)

Lindsey's Party

My friend Lindsey turned 30 on March 5th, and her husband planned a big surprise party for her!
We all gathered at their house while Aaron & Lindsey were out to dinner.  Lindsey was just expecting to come home to her parents, who were there babysitting their boys.  But, she came home to this:
SURPRISE!!
I loved seeing her reaction!  She really was surprised & so happy to see everyone!
Good job, Aaron!
The delicious party food.
Lindsey and her middle son, Blayke.
Ann, Sue, & Cheryl lighting all 30 candles
She did it...with the help of her boys & nephew (:
Tate and Griffin liked the humongous strawberries!

Happy Birthday, my friend!!  Welcome to the 30's club!

Here are a couple of things I made this month (:
No-Bake Energy Bites

Cute Pretzel Bites with dark chocolate kisses, of course. (:
These were SO yummy, but not quite as healthy as the energy bites. (;

Beginning of March

A rare sight: Tate fell asleep drinking his milk one day. (:
Tate wanted to wear my apron--haha, so cute!
3/2~We had the Turanski family over for dinner and I made lasagna, artisan bread, salad, & lava cakes for dessert.  We really enjoyed eating together and visiting late into the evening.
(:
Ronan has been improving so much this year with reading in Spanish!
Aaron's sister & brother-in-law were down for the weekend and they stopped by so we could see their adorable baby!
Sweet baby Santiago ("Santi") (:
Santi likes his Uncle Aaron
The kids all love playing with Paco
Tate rediscovered his super cool race car (from the Turanskis).  He likes getting pulled around the house in it (:
A few days before getting his cast off, we decided to see if Tate would hold still long enough for people to sign it.  (:  I think he thought it was pretty cool.
These three like to cuddle on the couch in the mornings.
Daddy is so much fun!

Ruddick & Sons Circus Act
Tate got his cast off on March 7th!  Hooray!  He sat perfectly still while Dr. Miller cut it off...he didn't cry or seem scared at all, and that saw was pretty loud!  He looks concerned in the picture below, but he did great. I'm sure his arm felt funny (itchy & sensitive) afterward.
Time for a nice long bath (:
(His arm looked a little bent to me still...but it was all healed and ready for normal activity.)
