Ruddick Family Easter

April 8th~We hosted Easter dinner at our house with all the Ruddicks, Creagers, Greens (including Jon's mom), and Lermos.  It was great having all of the family together, and so wonderful to have the sun shining!  The kids got to eat outside and hunt for eggs in the grass!

Easter Sunday

The Easter bunny was a little more practical this year than in previous years. (:  Our boys got cool new skater shirts, books, Legos, & only a couple of goodies.

Since it was my Birthday, Josh made my favorite breakfast: Eggs Benedict!  It was super yummy!

Hecht Family Easter

On the day before Easter we all gathered at Memaw & Papa's house to decorate eggs!  The Murphy-Hecht family (cousin Dan, his wife, Brooke, and daughters, Summer & Kara) came down from Portland to join in the fun!  Erik was also able to come down from Seattle! It was great to have the whole family together for the weekend. (:

Next everyone came to our house for dinner and my birthday celebration (My birthday was the next day...on Easter!) 

I made these bird nest treats. (:

We had a Mexican food feast!  Mom & Becca made enchiladas, and we added some side dishes.

After dinner the kids got to hunt for eggs! Each family had a designated color to look for. (:

Tea Time

4/1/12~ We made it back from Portland in time for me to attend a very special tea in honor of Lynn Chase (Becca's mother-in-law, and longtime friend of our family!).  Lynn's sister, Jenny, was in town, so my mom thought it would be the perfect time to have the tea! Mom did a great job putting everything together, with the help of Ann and Jincy. (I didn't realize how far back Ann and Lynn's friendship went, but Ann lived right next door to Lynn & Jenny when they were little girls. And they have been close friends ever since!)  The food was delicious and we all had a nice time talking and sharing memories together.  There were some sweet & sentimental moments, followed by lots of tears.  Lynn has been battling cancer, and fighting hard through the ups and downs of treatment.  We are all so thankful for the special times we get to share with Lynn!  She is an incredible woman...so full of strength, faith & joy, even in the midst of this terrible sickness.
