SOLD!

March 11th was the official closing date for the sale of our Honeysuckle house! We were incredibly blessed to find a buyer in these tough economic times, and on top of that we were acquiring some of the best neighbors you could ask for: the Chase family!! This was an answer to prayer in so many ways! We were all amazed at how God provided a way for it to work out for both of our families, and in the most perfect timing! It has been such a relief for us to have that burden lifted and so great for the Chases to have bought their first home!

After we signed papers, we went out to dinner to celebrate with my parents, the Henry family, and the Chases. My mom made giant cookies in the shape of the house...one for us and one for Aaron and Becca (: She is so sweet and creative!

Day with the Creagers

On February 21st we had a fun day hanging out with Josh's side of the family. Brad and the kids came down to Eugene for the day because it had been awhile since we got all of the cousins together to play.

Dylan had recently broken his arm and this was the first time for us to see him with his cast on. Ronan was very interested in hearing all about it. (:

The Chases stopped by for a quick visit, too, and Sadie got a turn riding the Kawasaki.

This is not one of my favorite things that Josh does with our kids...but Griffin loves it! Josh gets him going so fast--it scares me!

After spending quite awhile playing outside, we went inside to watch a movie and rest. We realized that that almost everyone was wearing blue that day, even Grammie.

V-Day Evening

As I mentioned in a previous post, we swapped babysitting with the Chases during Valentine's weekend. It was so much fun for the kids and each couple benefited by having a date night! We had the kids on Saturday night while Aaron and Becca went out to dinner and a movie. The kids played great together and definitely wore each other out by the end of the night.

Sadie curled up in her sleeping bag to watch the movie and ended up falling asleep. She looked so peaceful. (: She managed to stay asleep despite being "checked on" frequently by Ronan and Griffin. (:

Valentine's Day

The boys and I made these super sweet cookies to deliver to family and our neighbor friends on Valentine's Day. They are cherry chip cake mix cookies with cherry frosting. I'm glad we gave most of them away because I would've eaten way too many!

When I wasn't looking Griffin climbed up onto the counter in search for more cookies. (: They were very hard to resist!

In the morning on Valentine's Day, Ronan and I made cinnamon rolls in the shape of a heart for breakfast. I just love his smiley eyes in this picture. (:

We gave the boys some new pop-up books and a game--more practical than "Valentiney". (:

After that, the boys and I headed out to make our special deliveries while Josh worked on projects at the house. It was a good way for us to give Josh some uninterrupted work time.

Valentine Date

For Valentine's Day we swapped babysitting with the Chases so we could each go on a date that weekend. Josh and I went out on Friday night, and Aaron & Becca went out on Saturday night. We did the same thing last year and it worked out really well.

Ronan was eager for me to get ready to go so that he could be with his cousins! He asked over and over again, "Is it time for Aunt Becca and Sadie to babysit me?" (:

Josh came home from work early and we headed to a movie & then dinner.

We ate at Izumi, a new sushi restaurant in Crescent Village. The atmosphere was really cool and the food was all SO delicious!

Preschool Party

On Wednesday, February 11th, I went to school with Ronan for his Valentine party. This was always my favorite holiday when I was a teacher, so it brought back a lot of memories from my years at EEP. (: I love all of the heart decorations and cards (& goodies!). Ronan's teacher, Miss Julie, is awesome! She is so great with the kids and always has such fun and creative ideas. During the party, each kid got to dip strawberries in chocolate and sprinkles, and later eat them along with ice cream sundaes. Lot of sugar for a room full of 4 year olds (at 10:00 in the morning), but it was a special day. (:

When I pick Ronan up from school (on Mondays and Wednesdays) he always asks to go to Memaw & Papa's house, because he knows that his cousins will be there. So, we often do that. They all eat lunch together and play until it's time for Griffin's nap.
