Park with Cousins

August 25th~ After the Eugene Celebration Parade we met up with all of Josh's family at River Play park! It's so much fun seeing all of the cousins playing together--and the big cousins helping out with the little ones. (: Poor Emma broke her leg just a day or two before this, so she was restricted from most of the play. We got her some fun markers and a new coloring book. (:

Only in Eugene..

August 25th~ I took the boys to the Eugene Celebration Parade, and we met up with the Chase family and Memaw & Papa. It's such a crazy parade, but we always enjoy it and try not to miss it each year. (:

Someone from the Slug Queen's entourage gave Tate a knitted slug finger puppet. (: The Slug Queen's name was Sadie!

Tate did lots of pointing and saying "Look at that!"

This lady was carrying a sign that said "Free Hugs". Tate is always willing to give free hugs. (:

Such a fun time with cousins!
(Katrina & Kenton were off on their big anniversary trip to Greece! We missed having Finn & Cedar there, but they were enjoying their time with Kenton's parents.)

Family Camping!

August 20-22~ The highlight of the summer for our family was our camping trip to Loon Lake! This was a first for us--camping with just the five of us! And although it's not easy to camp with a toddler, we had a fun & memory-making time as a family.

We bought kayaks for the boys and they turned out to be such a FUN thing--for all of us. (: Josh and I could paddle around on them, too, kind of. (;

Tate loved the sand and being able to wade in the water.

We hiked to a waterfall, and explored around the lake.

Griffin made friends with this cute little girl. (:

Tate liked riding in the kayak, too!

We brought Memaw & Papa's canoe with us. It was so cool to be able to go out on the lake together! Ronan and Griffin rowed a lot in their kayaks, and when they got tired we could tie them to the canoe. (:
