Fireworks!

Alan & Kelly were in charge of making dinner on the 4th of July, and it was all so delicious: BBQ chicken, baked beans, corn on the cob, and watermelon!
Posing in front of the flag
We went down to the river to watch the dad set off the fireworks.
sparklers!

They were having a little too much fun with the fire. (:
One by one the boys started fading and falling asleep.  John covered his head with a towel and was out first.
Eli was next to fall asleep, and then Ronan & Griffin were soon after.
The next morning we all got to sleep in (yay!), and then we took our time getting packed up before heading back home.

Thanks for the amazing camping weekend, Turanski family!!!  We had so much fun!!

Camping continued

Alan & Josh braved the freezing river water and went tubing down the stretch of rapids where we were camping.
The little boys thought it was SO cool that the big boys got to do that! (;
Waiting for the dads to return...

Cascadia Park~ Camping cont'd

After lunch on the 4th of July we walked from our campsite to Cascadia Park to hike to a waterfall.
Ronan (almost 6), John (5 1/2), Griffin (3 1/2), and Eli (3)

It was such a pretty hike!

It was a hot day, so the spray from the waterfall felt really nice!
The whole group!
Griffin fell asleep in Josh's arm on the way back to camp.
When we got back to camp, Kelly and I each took a little nap before getting ready for a late night of fireworks!

July 4th~ Camping cont'd

The boys woke up early and were excited for a big day of fun!
They each got to choose their own box of cereal from the little travel pack just like we always did when we went camping growing up.

Good Morning, Eli!
Josh and Alan made a big breakfast for us--scrambled eggs, sausage, and blueberry pancakes (with strawberries & whipped cream on top!)
Then we all walked down to the river and played in the water until lunchtime.
