Spring Break Begins!

Today was the first day of Spring Break, and we were so happy to have some dry & sunny weather.  Although it wasn't very warm, it was still great to be outside!  My parents were "grandparenting" the Chase kids next door, so they invited Ronan & Griffin over to play while Tate napped.  They went to McDonalds for lunch (: and then went on a bike ride to a park.
They are lucky kids to have such active grandparents. (:
After Tate's nap, Amy invited us to play at the Bertha Holt playground!
Ronan & Griffin biked there and I strolled Tate in the Bob.

Miss Emma swinging like such a big girl!  She is 3 1/2 years old today!
Happy kiddos, Griffin & Emma.

Kelly's Birthday

3/23/12~ My parents watched Tate & Griffin so that I could take my friend Kelly out to lunch for her birthday.  We had such a nice time together--eating delicious food and having uninterrupted conversation. (:  We usually have our kiddos around when we hang out, so this was a special treat!
We ate lunch at Vero, then went to The Divine Cupcake for dessert.
I gave Kelly a corkscrew set (since she liked the one we have so much) and her favorite wine.
The cupcakes were SOOO delicious, especially the lavender one!

Snow Day!

We were SO surprised to wake up to an amazing snowy wonderland on Wednesday, March 21st--the day after the 1st day of Spring!  We got up to seven inches of snow, which is just crazy for Eugene!  School was cancelled and Josh took the morning off work to play in the snow with the kids. (:  It was great!
Happy little snow bunnies...or monkey & lion (:
I was able to locate almost all of our snow gear, but I could only find one boot of each set in Tate's size.  He didn't seem to notice...and his feet stayed nice & warm. (:
It was so great having cousins right next door to play with!
I love Griffin's action in these pictures.
Josh and all the kids (and Becca, too) worked on building an igloo! (I was in and out of the house with Tate most of the day, but I came out to take pictures of the finished product.)

Tate (16 months) all bundled up after getting the first snowsuit wet.
I got to try out the igloo, too!

Ann & Jincy

At Moms of Grace on Tuesday, March 20th, Ann and Jincy made body balm for everyone in our group!  It was really neat to watch how it's made...and such a treat to get to take a jar home that day!
The list of ingredients was quite extensive...some that I had never heard of (;

Jincy brought supplies for us to decorate our jars.
Cute picture of Patty & Ann, who were dressed similarly that day. (:
Then Jincy showed us how to make felt flowers to add to scarves, headbands, etc.
So many cute ideas!
Jincy was an adorable model.
