Flying to Colorado!

Pay no attention to the amount of luggage here!  Yikes!  We brought a tent, sleeping bags, and two car seats along with our regular luggage.
Our "big" trip this summer was going to Colorado for a family reunion.  We went back and forth on whether to drive or fly or for just me to go or none of us....it was a big decision.  It was a huge answer to prayer when Frontier Airlines had a deal on direct flights to Denver, it just seemed SO meant to be!  We jumped on it and made plans to fly--all five of us--for a five day vacation.  The boys were beyond excited to fly in an airplane, which was a first for Tate and the first time Griffin was old enough to remember. (;
The pilot invited Tate into the cockpit (or flight deck, as my brother informed me)--pretty cool for a two year old!!
Tate and the big boys were superstar travelers!
More posts to come of our awesome trip...

VBS

 July 15-18~ Our kiddos went to Vacation Bible School at our church.  It was an awesome week for them!  The theme was God's Backyard Bible Camp and throughout the week they were encouraged to bring in donations for the Eugene Mission.
Hooray for cousins!!  These kids are all so lucky to have each other!
Next year Tate will get to go to VBS! Wow!
Sweet notes from Griffin (above) and Ronan

Family Day at the Coast

July 14, 2013~ Our family met up with the Hickmans at the Oregon Coast for a quick visit!
Aunt Carol and Uncle Keith bought a lot in Waldport!  They plan to build a house there in the next 5-10 year (hopefully sooner!). :)  We are so excited to have them closer to us someday!

Just a picture of all of us looking at the property. :)
Their lot is just a short walk from the beach!
We found a cool fort made with drift wood
A great spot for a group picture!  We're just missing Erik in this pic...
We celebrated Sadie & Katrina's birthdays a little early since we were all together.
(and Aunt Carol's half-birthday)
Silly boys on the couch.

Our Anniversary Weekend!

On July 10, 2013 we celebrated 14 years of marriage!!  I can hardly believe we've been married that long!  Time has gone by so fast. (:  I'm so thankful for Josh and the caring, sweet, fun guy that he is!
Lunch Date
That evening we went to an Ems game because the boys got free tickets from their baseball camp.
Tate LOVES Sluggo, the Ems' mascot!
Pretty flowers from Josh (:
Our anniversary celebration continued that weekend.  Josh's parents took our kids camping at the coast and we got to stay home by ourselves for two nights!  It was such a lovely treat!  The kids had a blast with Grammie & Grandpa, and we enjoyed a quiet house and the freedom of going on several dates together!

Sushi at Izumi!
Skinner's Butte at night
We went for a run together...
Lunch at Cafe Lucky Noodle
We stopped at Vanilla Jills for a treat--I got a kombucha shake!
We made a delicious meal of grilled veggies, corn on the cob, and steak!
On Sunday we went to church, then drove to the coast to pick up the boys.  My aunt and uncle from California happened to be at the coast that weekend, too, so we visited them after getting the boys.
We got to hear all about their camping adventures and see their little handmade "shelters". (;
Tate was very cuddly--it was nice to be missed. :)
