Introducing...

Tate Gordon Ruddick
born on Friday, November 12th, 2010
at 5:45 pm
6 lbs 6 oz and 18.5 inches long

Josh and I went to the hospital early in the morning to be induced (a week before my due date), because my amniotic fluid had been low and Tate's growth was slowing down.  I was nervous about being induced, but excited to know that we would be meeting our baby boy later that day!  The induction started out very slowly and I wasn't in active labor until around 1:30 pm when my doctor broke my water.  From that point on my contractions (& back labor...) came fast and furious.  It was very intense and emotional, and got to the point of me deciding on intrathecal anesthesia just before 5:00 pm.  In less than an hour my body was ready to deliver, and after just a minute or two of "pushing" our sweet Tate was born--right into Daddy's arms!  My doctor was there for the delivery, and after Tate's head was out she let Josh "catch" him and hand him to me. It was such an incredible experience!
We are so thankful for this amazing gift from God!
I couldn't have gotten through the labor & delivery without my amazing husband!

Ronan and Griffin got to the hospital shortly after Tate was born and they were SO VERY excited to finally get to hold him!
Ronan was so relieved when Tate was born!  He had been so nervous about mommy going to the hospital and having to be in pain.  It was so nice to see him relax as he held his littlest brother. (:
Griffin is such a proud big brother!  He didn't want any help holding Tate. (:

Our 1st photo as a family of five!
Our three sons wearing their special "brother" t-shirts.
