Concierto

On Wednesday, February 16th, Ronan's class put on a concert of Spanish songs that they have been learning.  They were accompanied by Senor Ricardo (Isabela's grandpa).  It was such a cute little performance!

So proud of our big 1st grader!

Grammie & Grandpa came to watch, and Tate was very content sitting on Grandpa's lap during the whole performance. (:
Ronan wanted to show Karsyn how he can play Angry Birds on daddy's phone. (;

I heart...

For Valentine's Day, Josh and I planned a lunch date for us and an evening at home to celebrate with our boys.  (Tate was with us for lunch, but Ronan was at school and Griffin got to go to Memaw & Papa's house after preschool.)  We ate at Marche Provisions and had a nice, relaxing time with yummy food & dessert and good conversation.  After lunch I went to Ronan's class to help out with his Valentine party.
Earlier that day I baked a cake, and then for dinner I made fettuccine alfredo and cooked a heart-shaped pizza (from Papa Murphy's).  Ronan helped set the table and made Valentine cards for Josh & me.  We lit candles and turned the lights off--and the boys waited by the door to surprise Daddy when he got home. (:  It was cute seeing them get involved in making the day special.

We finished off the evening with a dance party in the living room.  Josh brought out a cool laser light thing and Ronan & Griffin loved it!  Josh took these pictures of the boys laying in the light & trying to break dance. (:

3 months old

February 12th~ We sure are enjoying Tate's sweet & smiley personality these days!  He brings so much joy to our family!  The last three months have flown by, and I know that time will continue to do that...I'm trying to keep up with pictures & journaling so I can look back and remember these special moments.
  • Tate can sleep through the night, but he keeps me on my toes by sometimes choosing not to.  Even then, we are usually only up once during the night.  He's sleeping much better in the cradle now & not sleeping in the swing as often as he used to.
  • He sleeps and eats a lot throughout the day, sometimes taking his best nap late in the evening.
  • Ronan misses Tate while he's at school all day, and always wants to hold him right when he gets home.
  • Tate sure has his own look.  A lot of people say that he looks like Griffin.  We see a blend of both of our boys, but really see more Hecht resemblance at this point.
  I LOVE these sweet boys!

Basketball Clinic

Ronan participated in a YMCA basketball clinic that was held the past five Saturdays.  He did the same one last year, but this time we signed up in time for him to go to the one at our neighborhood school (so convenient!).  It's a great little program designed to build basic basketball skills, and he had a lot of fun doing it!

Family Birthdays

We celebrated Grammie and Aunt Diane's birthdays with Josh's side of the family on Saturday, February 5th, which was Aunt Diane's actual birthday (the big 6-0!).  (Grammie's birthday was a few weeks earlier.)  We ate a yummy jambalaya dinner together and finished the evening off with cake & presents.  I got a couple of pictures of the birthday girls, but the rest ended up being of Tate.  He's a well-photographed little boy already!
Cute mother/daughter moment (:
