We invited our families over on Independence Day for a barbecue, fireworks, and backyard fun. With both sides there we had quite a crowd- 14 adults and 12 kids! Jon's mom joined us and it was nice having her there! (The Henry family was at a reunion in the bay area, and Erik was in Seattle--we missed you guys!)
Becca used an idea she found on Pinterest and transformed Aaron's "old" shirts into this cute dress for Sadie and tank top for herself! Such a crafty girl (:

Our backyard is coming together more this summer with the little details Josh has been working on...
...the fountain area...
...which the kids couldn't resist getting in!
...& the new-to-us hot tub.

We set off some fireworks in our driveway, and we also could see the big fireworks from PK Park & Alton Baker park off in the distance.

Right after I took the previous picture, one of the neighbors set off a cool bottle rocket and I took a picture of the kids' reaction. I just love that they all have the same expression. (:
Getting ready for sparklers:
Our family minus Tate, who went to sleep before the fireworks started.
