Surprise!

Last night we got to play a part in helping Carolyn and Jesse surprise the Henry's after being in Azerbaijan for a year serving in the Peace Corps. (Katrina & Kenton knew they were on their way back, but thought they were coming home sometime next week.) Carolyn emailed me a few days ago saying that they got a flight to Eugene for Friday and they wanted to just show up wherever the Henrys would be that night. I talked to Becca and we decided to call Katrina and invite them to Papa's Pizza, saying, "we thought it would be fun to hang out since our families haven't seen each other for a long time (thanks to the flu!), and the cousins would love to play together in the play area." It seemed like something we would typically do, so she wasn't suspicious at all. Katrina liked the idea, and the plan was set in motion...

The Henrys arrived to find Carolyn and Jesse standing right inside the restaurant! They were definitely shocked & surprised! Such a fun reunion!
